The difference between a Korean and Regular Lash Lift
The Korean Lash Lift is a premium, next-generation alternative to the traditional lash lift, using advanced Korean formulations that are designed to gently lift and nourish the lashes from the root. Unlike regular lash lifts, which can be more drying and use standard perming solutions, the Korean technique focuses on lash health, often enriched with keratin or peptides to strengthen and condition the lashes during the process. The result is a soft, natural-looking curl that enhances the eyes while maintaining lash integrity. Perfect for clients who want longer-lasting, healthier results, the Korean Lash Lift offers a more refined and damage-free alternative to the conventional lash lift.
What type of training is best for me?
Choosing the right training depends on your experience level, goals, and preferred learning style. If you're completely new to lashes, our Beginner Lash Training is the best place to start. You'll learn all the fundamentals, including lash theory, classic lash application, styling, retention, and client care – everything you need to launch your lash career with confidence.
If you're a qualified lash artist looking to refine your skills or learn the Korean lash technique, our Advanced or Refresher Training is ideal. You'll focus on advanced styling, lash maps, layering, and improving your speed, retention, and technique.
Prefer a more personalised approach? Our 1:1 Private Training is perfect for tailored, hands-on support focused entirely on your needs. We also offer group training if you love learning in a collaborative environment.

Will I receive a certification?
Yes! Upon successful completion of your training, you’ll receive a Certificate of Completion that recognises your skills and knowledge in lash artistry.
This certificate allows you to confidently begin offering lash services, gain insurance, and build credibility with clients. Whether you’re training as a beginner or upskilling with advanced techniques, your certification reflects the high standard of education and hands-on practice delivered at Lashes by Portia.

Hey, I'm Portia , lash artist of 7 years and the girl behind Lashes by Portia.
I run a fully booked home studio in Diamond Creek, Melbourne, where I specialise in Korean Lash Lifts and Lash Extensions. Every appointment is personal, love creating a space where my clients feel relaxed, confident, and genuinely cared for.
Somewhere along the way I became completely obsessed with Korean lash lifting. the detail, the science, the why behind every single step. So naturally, I started teaching it too.
I've trained with some of the best Korean lash artists and now I teach other artists how to actually do it properly, not just get through the steps, but really understand them.
